The European Tour Order of Merit is replaced by The Race to Dubai
from the 2009 season leading to the end of season Dubai World
Championship (19-22 November, 2009). In The Race to Dubai,
the players will be ranked according to their earnings from all
events on The European Tour International Schedule including all
European Tour events, the Major Championships and the World Golf
Championships. The number 1 to 60 Tour players at the end of
the season qualify to play in the Dubai World Championship and vie
for the US$7,500,000 prize fund. The Race to Dubai also
delivers an additional Bonus Pool of US$7,500,000 to the 15
top-ranked players after the Dubai World Championship.
